EditingYou might have the greatest content ever, but if it’s riddled with spelling and grammar errors, it won’t be successful.

This is where a good editor comes in. They can help get your document into tip-top shape.

I offer 3 types of editing services: proofreading, copyediting and structural editing. What’s the difference?

Proofreading:

I will review and correct any spelling, grammar, or punctuation errors in your document.

Copyediting:

Copyediting is about making sure your material is technically sound. This includes proofreading, but it also means I check consistency in language, plot, characters and overall story details.

The Ultimate Beginner’s Guide to WordPress SEO“I’ve been dreading the editing portion of my ebook for weeks now, always pushing the task to the backburner. Sarah is basically a lifesaver. She swooped in and made the whole editing process such a breeze. Her turnaround time was perfect and her edits were made very clear. I will absolutely be using her again for future projects and would 100% recommend her to anyone & everyone looking for a copywriting editor for projects big and small.” – Mariah Liszewski, author of The Ultimate Beginner’s Guide to WordPress SEO

Structural Editing:

This includes things like:
– do you deliver the information you intend to deliver, and is it complete
– is the information in a logical order
– is the information broken into logical sections
– do the sections flow together
– are titles and headings effective and match content
– are there any gaps or repetition
– is the tone and voice consistent throughout

Formatting:

Are you ready to get your e-book listed with major e-retailers?

I will format your e-book according to Smashwords’ guidelines and format standards, which are some of the strictest. Books formatted according to these guidelines rarely have issues uploading to any e-store (Smashwords, Kindle, Kobo). This includes creation of front material (i.e. copyright page), linked table of contents, images, footnotes or reference links, and end material (i.e. author page, other works page). You will receive a finalized .docx file that is ready to be uploaded to Amazon (for Kindle) or Smashwords (other retailers).

I guarantee acceptance into the Smashwords Premium Catalog.

Alternately, are you looking to create a PDF e-book to use in your sales funnel?

PDF e-books are usually very graphic oriented and visually appealing. The applies not just to the cover, but to all the pages within. I will format your e-book to fit your brand, as well as be easy and appealing to read.

Prices start at $50 for a traditional e-book for fiction under 300 pages or nonfiction under 100 pages, and $75 for PDF e-books. Contact me today to receive a full quote for your project.
