Just because you’re a small business owner or author, doesn’t mean you have to do it all by yourself.
That’s where Workaday Services comes in. And since Workaday Services is currently owned and operated solely by Sarah Merchant (me), you probably want to know a bit about me.
I’m a lover of books, and colour, and believe strongly in doing what you love. I’ve worked in the corporate world doing customer service, accounting and administration roles for over 15 years, building my skills, and now it’s time to put them to work for me, and for you. I have a serious need to be organized, and I love helping other people get that way too, even (and maybe especially) if it means doing it for them.
While I love the amazing views in town (I live in a small oceanside city on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada), I live with my iPhone in my hand (not just for Pokemon Go).
I know blogging, and social media. I’ve run online blogs for over a decade (previously personal blogs and a book review blog, and currently a beauty blog). I help manage the Canadian Beauty Bloggers Network. I’ve learned to navigate the ever-changing complicated world of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.
Whether you personally use it or not, social media is a huge part of modern business, and you need to have an active presence on the bigger platforms.
I want to put my experience to work for you. After all, I spend countless hours online anyway; you might as well use my knowledge and time for your benefit.
Why Hire Outside Help?
Traditionally, being an small business owner meant you had to handle everything, even if you didn’t know how, or didn’t want to. That’s no longer the case. Hiring me gives you the opportunity to focus on what you love best, while letting me do the parts that I like best, which is the administrative side of your business.
